What I inspect
Supplier side and third party inspection for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, pressure and fabricated equipment, with clear records at every step.
Vendor and third party inspection
Supplier surveillance, FAT, in process and final inspection, pre shipment checks and shipment release.
Pressure equipment and vessels
Hydrostatic test witnessing, external and internal visual inspection, dimensional and nameplate checks, weld and NDT document review.
Electrical equipment
Transformers, switchgear, MCCs, control panels, motors and generators. Insulation resistance, continuity and functional checks.
Pumps and rotating equipment
Alignment, vibration, mechanical run and performance tests. Rotor balancing and run out witnessing.
Valves and relief valves
Dimensional checks, seat leak and hydrostatic tests, actuator, calibration and setting verification.
Battery and UPS
Capacity review, voltage and polarity checks, charger and BMS function, alarm and protection verification.
FAT and control systems
Control panel checks, interlocks, alarms, safety functions and operational test witnessing.
Material and NDT verification
PMI, VT, PT and MT support, RT film interpretation, UT and hardness witnessing, MTC and WPS/PQR review.
Vendor audit and expediting
Supplier assessment, manufacturing surveillance, ITP and document review, NCR follow up, shipment readiness.
Structural and construction inspection
Fabrication and site QC for structural steel and process tanks, built on AISC 360, AWS D1.1, ASME Section VIII and ISO 8501-1. Project records from my portfolio.
Steel frame buildings
- High strength friction bolts (ASTM A325 / A490), MTC review, torque control and turn of nut verification
- Column to beam joints, level and plumbness checks against shop drawings
- 100% visual testing of field welds, including full penetration groove welds
Industrial warehouses and process tanks
- Fully bolted large span frames: baseplates, anchor layouts, packing lists, shop weld VT
- Wastewater tanks: seam weld VT, PT on nozzle necks, WPS/PQR/WPQ review
- Hydrotest with minimum 2 hour hold, blasting to Sa 2.5, epoxy DFT measurement
